Do I have to pay for interlibrary loan? And how long does it take to receive materials I request?

Answer

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is free to UI students, staff and faculty.

Most articles arrive within 24 hours and can be accessed digitally from your Interlibrary loan (ILL) account when you receive email notification.

Books from Northwest libraries will arrive within a week, but those from distant libraries can take longer. You will receive an email when you book arrives, and it will be held for you at the main circulation desk.

You can always log in to your ILL account to check the status of your requests, or contact the ILL office directly at (208) 885-6843, or by email at libill@uidaho.edu for more information.
